t l k

t l k is anartist, vocalist and producer based in Bristol UK. t l k centres thevoice-as-instrument, in live and recorded contexts, with palettes formed fromvocal layers, found rhythms, analog synthesis and organic instrumentation.Fluid in genre and form, with a leaning towards cinematic ambient, downtempoelectronic, skewed pop, neo-classical and musique concrète sensibilities, theirworks evolve from memory, dialogue, dreams and ongoing explorations into grief, selfhood, human behaviour and its coalescence and tensions with thenon-human.

t l k’sdebut album ‘The Noticing’ is set for release in 2026. The Noticing is t l k'sintricately-crafted debut LP, welding their roots in choral polyphony withsoundscape composition, deconstructed pop and electronic production. Inspiredby far-reaching influences such as minimalism, chaos theory, Taoism, InternalFamily Systems and the school of Deep Listening, the ‘act of Noticing’ hasevolved to be at the core of both t l k's music-making practice, and theirapproach to aliveness. The album marks t l k's commitment to engaging thesenses in consistent observation - awake, in dreams, and in the in between - inincrementally expanding detail.

'StrengthIn Tenderness 2.0' (2024), 'Primed For Loss' (2023) and ‘Serenia’ (2023)introduced t l k's distinct palette, ethereal live presence and, most notably,a voice of tactile sensitivity to the UK and beyond, offering something gentlyassertive, ever-evolving and "truly transportive" (BBC6 Music). In2024, ‘Legs’ released via Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label, on FutureBubblers’ annual compilation. Key support has come from BBC Radio 1, 6Music,Radio 3, BBC Introducing and Jazz FM, including radio play, featuredappearances and guest mixes.

In 2025, they are studying withThomas Fournil of Idrîsî Ensemble, learning the ancient practice and notationof medieval polyphony and chant from as early as the 4th Century. Both of theseexperiences have had profound impact on t l k's relationship with the voice, and continue to shape their approach to vocal improvisation, composition andtechnology in tandem with voice.
