Emerging from Brooklyn’s underground scene in summer 2021, Swordes debuted at warehouse raves and DIY parties as nightlife reopened. Her fearless, pop-leaning live set combines hardware synths and drum machines with an emotive, operatic vocal — no computer in sight.

Originally from Honolulu, she moved to New York to study fine arts at Parsons before turning to music, self-taught and instinctive. Writing, producing, recording and mixing everything herself, Swordes creates honest, poetic electronic music she describes as “human music for humans.” Her upcoming first full-length LP blends pop vocals with club-inspired late-90s dance sounds.
