Maniac Maison

Maniac Maison is the electronic musical playground of three jazz musicians: Shoko Igarashi, Casimir Liberski and Lucien Fraipont (Robbing Millions, Aksak Maboul). On their debut record, the Brussels-based trio went searching through the hidden corners of their respective hard drives and unearthed a selection of explorative and addictive gems that became the soundtrack to their Belgo-Japanese friendship.

Taking inspiration from the Y.M.O. galaxy as well as the local Telex heritage, their highly melodic electronic music focuses as much on rich harmonic depth and rhythmically symmetrical MIDI experimentations as on the playful bleeps and bloops of daily life.

Recently, the project expanded with the addition of Belgium’s very own human drum machine, Martin Méreau (Echt!), with whom Casimir had a duo back in the 2010s.

Maniac Maison is a synth band formed by synth lovers, each endowed with distinctive styles and abilities. The combination of their accomplished jazz backgrounds results in surprisingly stimulating music for brainiacs and headbangers alike.

Maniac Maison’s self-produced debut album is expected for release in late May 2026 on Humpty Dumpty.
