KissFacility is the multidisciplinary duo of Mayah Alkhateri and SalvadorNavarette, who have been working across sound, image, and performance sincetheir first encounter. Their practice is rooted in spiritual enquiry, drawingon themes of psychic perception, ritual protection, intimacy and the afterlifeas a force of future destiny. Through symbolism and real-life emotion, KissFacility pushes artistic boundaries whilst examining identity as a site ofself-transformation.
Sonically, the project sits at the margins of modern shoegaze, built on thick guitars, submerged vocal poetry, and compressed emotion. The duo adapts the genre’sfamiliar language and redirects it through Arabic lyricism, privatemythologies, and inward worlds rarely foregrounded in alternative music.
Theirupcoming album, KHAZNA (meaning safe, vault, or treasury) refers to what iskept hidden. Its themes unfold through layered vocals and unexpected sound, holding vulnerable subjects such as love, liberation, and lived experiencewithout spectacle or declaration. The album invites listening as an act ofuncovering, reaching full-circle through the themes of exploration.
Created bytwo people who live and work together in the comfort of their home, KHAZNAfeels shared rather than performed. Ready to be unraveled publicly, the albumarrives in March via ambient tweets, alongside the announcement of KissFacility’s debut European tour and an album listening session.
The duointroduced their sonic world in 2024 through the EP Esoteric, a formative bodyof work that laid the emotional and aesthetic foundations of their practice. One of its tracks, Plasma, later found new life when it was sampled by Fredagain.., on his August 2025 collaboration EP with Skepta. The vocals fromPlasma were used in the tracks 21 Years and Last 1s Left, extending KissFacility’s intimate sound into a wider musical conversation.
