Rooted in themes of growth, identity and feminine resilience, “A Lot To Give” explores what women carry and release as they evolve. On the track, Ford and Birdy’s duet creates a spectral third voice, an ethereal presence woven through lush harmonies and textured instrumentation of piano, acoustic guitar and double bass. Recorded live during a still and misty late winter morning from Dom Monk’s studio in Frome, the very first take captured an unrepeatable magic. The result is a deeply atmospheric, haunting folk ballad that shimmers with kinship and the shared intuition of two singular artists.
