Video makes a radiostar: Breton 11/04 @ Botanique

BretonBreton are an inscrutable bunch of musicians and award-winning indie film-makers with, we are told, "cutting-edge video and sound design work under their belts" for the likes of Temper Trap, Penguin Prison and Tricky. They only exist for a year, but there’s a lot to pick up on.

You can describe Breton the best as a multimedia version of Massive Attack; mixed with noir ambient sounds, Fever Ray, Friendly fires and ninja tunes.
Their sound is misterious, with elements of math-rock, post rock, electro and even tropical
Inseperable with their musical formation is their other project: Bretonlabs.

Housed In an old bank building in South East London, the four created a lab where they work on their music, visuals and remixes for the likes of Local Natives, Chapel Club and Maps & Atlasses.

Their shows are very artistic. Dressed in black hoodies, they stand in the midst of their own made projections, cut and edited live on stage by a fifth member touring along with them for the occasion. We highly recommend a visit to their youtube webpage to cast a quick eye on their work ( all sorts of teasers, visual experiments and video clips).
